Stacking the Shelves (9,10)

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted at Tynga's Reviews. It's pretty damn awesome.

Kaede sincerely apologizes for the lack of Stacking the Shelves last week.
But as you see, we're back! And we have books to share:

From the darling Sarah:

E-BOOK:

Velveteen (Velveteen, #1)The Unfailing Light (Katerina, #2)

ARCS:
Mystic City (Mystic City, #1)

(Sarah says thanks, Izzy!<3)

And from Kaede:

(Brace yourself. Kaede is a huge money-waster. She just cannot stop spending money on books she won't get to for months.)

BOOKS:

I attended the launch party for AFTER, which is an anthology that'll make an appearance in this post. Beth Revis  was one of the authors and I had a blast, especially 'cause she recognized me! But more on that to come later. Scroll to the bottom of this post if you're curious.

Lauren Oliver is the first author I ever met. So, so forth missing my favorite T.V. show, I say. So worth it. I also got my copy of Before I Fall signed, but I'm too lazy to grab that book. It may not seem like it, but these Stacking the Shelves are pretty freakin' hard to put together.

So, yeah... That's AFTER, the book I was talking about. There were about a panel of eight(?) authors. I'm pretty sure there was suppose to be nine authors there but one couldn't make it.

Yeah, yeah. I know you see two copies. I swear you're not going blind. And I'm not going crazy either, buying more copies than I need of one book. But the worse part is I fully knew I was purchasing TWO copies. I just really wanted to read it and the copy I pre-ordered was taking forever to arrive. And than guess what? THE FREAKING COPY I PRE-ORDERED ARRIVES THE NEXT DAY.

Yeah. Awesome.

But you know, it's all about sharing the love. So the moment my review becomes public, so does a giveaway for a copy of THE MARK OF ATHENA. And if you have a really good eye, you'll notice my blue sticky-note. Yes, I have started thy book.

WON:

I rarely win things. Seriously. It's like impossible for me to win any contests. But back in September, I won the TEN contest from The Story Siren. It took a month for the prize to come, but it was totally worth it:

But an awesome book was not the only thing in the awesome package. There was also:

• A SIGNED bookmark.
• Two temporary tattoos.

I realize that you can only see one tattoo. I don't know where the other one fell. I'm looking for it - I swear! The signed bookmark was just like heaven in bookmark form. I was so happy to get it! <3 But that's not it...

I knew I was getting a gift-card, but I didn't know it would come with a really nice note. WHOOOHOOO. SCORE!

I also tried to give you guys a good view of the bookshelf in my room in these pictures, since I know some of you (not naming names) have been bugging me about a bookshelf tour. :p It's 99% not happening. But I can give you the next best thing. :)

ARCS:

Again, thanks Izzy!

Sadly, the package it came in was opened for stupid inspection and had a big tear in the middle. Hopefully nothing was lost and all you sent was Mystic City, right? 'Cause I will kill the person who opened my mail if something is missing. >:D

Again, another book I have doubles of. And yet another review that'll have a giveaway tagging along with it.

So if you aren't a follower of Wake Up at Seven yet, do so now! Keep yourself posted on when these future giveaways become available!

Oh, and by the way. Kaede doesn't use Rafflecopter. I don't like that. All I require is a simple comment. And of course, you have to be a GFC follower to be qualified to win.

And that concludes two weeks worth of books! If Isabelle responds with an email of the books she's gotten over the past weeks, I'll update this post as soon as possible! And so now, about that update thing-y I promised when Across the Universe and A Million Sun was featured. So...

I'm thinking of posting a re-cap of the two author signings I went to. They were, in fact, the first two signings I've ever attended and boy was I nervous. I think a lot of first-timers would be too, so if you are interested in that post, remember to leave a comment. If you are really shy, you can shoot me a email or tweet me @kami178xx.

Also, I'm thinking of doing something similar to Harmony's State of the Union. It looks fun and a bit more interactive and personal. It'll give you curious little people a better idea of what I'm reading, watching (anime and T.V. wise), and posts I've done. I'm still not sure what I want to call it, or if I'm even doing it. I think a majority of whether or not these posts go up depend on you guys. And just before I sign off for tonight, I want to share with you guys a video by a fellow blogger. I think this speaks for us all sometimes. So watch and enjoy and leave her some comments too!
